Room Details
Spacious private room for rent with a queen-sized bed, dresser, desk, and side table. The room includes a mini-fridge and microwave, and receives morning sun. We are often watching TV in the house, but the sound doesn't carry to the room. We frequently use the kitchen, so this space would be best suited for someone who doesn't cook often. But they are of course allowed to use the kitchen, we can just plan ahead or coordinate times.

Ideal Guest
We’re looking for someone easygoing, respectful, and independent — someone who has their own hobbies or work to keep them busy, but also enjoys a friendly chat now and then. We’re a liberal, non-religious household with two cats. I’m an artist and Robert’s a musician — he’s retired and plays music in the basement a couple of times a week during the day. It’s generally pleasant and not disruptive. I work part-time and enjoy a relaxed, creative home environment.

Special Notes
Just a quick note about kitchen use — we use it often and it’s a bit of a high-maintenance area, so we ask guests to be mindful and tidy up after themselves when using it occasionally. We’ll take care of cleaning the main common areas regularly, so you’ll only need to clean up after your own space.

Hi, I am from New Jersey and I have lived here for 23 years. As a roommate, I am dependable, respectful, and clean & tidy. I enjoy gardening, music, and cooking. I am a visual artist and Robert is a musician. We are liberal and not religious. We appreciate humor and good conversation. We love our cats. We are open minded.
The Neighborhood
We’re in a quiet, convenient area just off the freeway, with a spacious yard and a peaceful dead-end street. The house is within walking distance of beautiful Lake Padden and only about a 5-minute drive to the commercial district and Western Washington University. It’s generally a calm neighborhood — there are a few kids who live across the street, and occasionally a neighbor might have a small project going on, but nothing major.
