Special Notes
1] Basic cleanliness in room, shared bathroom and other common areas is a must. Food, dishes must not be left out in the open. I can provide cleaning supplies.
2] Boarder is expected to share in certain responsibilities, not on a rigid schedule but ongoing:
-Keeping kitchen neat and clean, wiping counters, keeping sink free of dishes, etc;
-Taking out garbage;
-Shoveling sidewalk [and driveway, if you keep a car there].
3] My son lives here, his room on 2nd floor. Other son visits occasionally. They use my bathroom and are friendly, well-mannered and don't bring noisy friends to the house [or rarely do].

I worked in broadcast journalism (NPR) until recently. Formerly a foreign correspondent, so for that and other reasons, resided in or travelled to many parts of the world. I like to think this makes me more flexible culturally. Middle-aged divorced father of two sons away in college. I am genial and fairly flexible.
The Neighborhood
My house is a 3-story Victorian duplex [built 1888] with a very warm vibe. Excellent transportation options: Bus stop at end of street for buses to Kenmore Sq, and express buses to downtown Boston. Near trolley to Harvard Square [and the Red Line]. Nearby bus goes to Harvard and MIT campuses. Access to Massachusetts Turnpike 3 blocks away and 15-20 minutes from downtown and Logan by automobile. Starbucks at end of street. Great neighbors on quiet street.
