Hi, I have a big, empty nest in a quiet and natural setting, overlooking a nature preserve and The Olentangy River. Feels like a rural setting but moments away from amenities and travel access points. 3.5 miles to Ohio State University campus area. I eat mostly plants.
The Neighborhood
I chose this house because of the neighborhood. Unique setting, Very old original houses scattered among new builds of the 1950's. The area was a cottage community at the turn of the 20th century, where people from Columbus would weekend and get away from the city and play in the forest, along the river, at the zoo which was near, and a horse livery. The forest area still has a camp feel to it. The original part of my house was built in the 1870s. Its current form was completed in 1920.
