Special Notes
When you arrive,it will be my pleasure to familiarize you with the specialness of historic Boston, public transportation, shopping, touring you in all respects. Guests have 2 sets of sheets and towels and have the responsibility of laundering them. Each week, guests vacuum and clean their room. There are 4 washers and dryers in the building accessible by stairs or elevator. Each guest has 2 keys: One is for the building. The other is for home. If the building key is lost, it is the responsibility of the guest to replace it at the condo association rate of $50.In the kitchen, my guest can share my dishes, flatware. Separate pots and pans are for the guest. The microwave, oven, toaster are available for cooking. There is a cupboard dedicated to the guest. Limited space in the refrigerator can be arranged. There is a thermostat in the guest room. I must regulate it with the other thermostat in the living room for heat and AC. Your privacy will be respected if I need to check the thermostat.
Please make your bed everyday and keep things tidy. I will do the same. When we walk around a small house a messy room can be seen from everywhere. We will be mindful of privacy sharing the bathroom and when walking around home. Andy is a loving and curious dog. He will want to be your friend and protector. He will also steal your socks or papers that are left on the floor. (He eats my socks, too, if I leave them out!) If you have a car, driving to and from Chelsea is easy and accessible to all of Greater Boston. There is plenty of free parking at the building. And, there aremany transportation alternatives - listed elsewhere. The rent has not been raised for some years making this homeshare a stellar opportunity in this market! Our building is a National Historic Property. This is not a "party house." Inviting guests for dinner or drinks is something we will plan with each other's privacy in mind. We’ll be mutually respectful and talk through any questions that may arise. I have been a homestay host for many years and have welcomed students and adult business guests from all over the world to my condo in Chelsea at Admiral's Hill. Having traveled the world for business and pleasure, visiting 57 countries (beginning as an exchange student to Denmark in high school), it has been my pleasure to give back by hosting. Professionally, I spent many years in the development of large scale urban real estate projects, public and private, and in higher ed at MIT and Northeastern. Aging issues and housing are top priorities for me. My interests are in public service, activism, arts, travel, photography, sports. I am a published travel photojournalist. Andy, my hypo-allergenic cockapoo, is a rescue who believes in giving back, too, and is a service and therapy dog. It is his belief that guests are his responsibility. He’ll welcome you enthusiastically.

A safe, multi-national community, it is desirable for proximity to Boston, port environment, easy access to beaches, and embodies the Boston liberal, inclusive spirit.Part of Chelsea, Admiral's Hill is a 26-acre waterside community. The Boston skyline with Inner Harbor and all the boating activity constitutes our view. Miles of walking and jogging are available in our landscaped neighborhood that includes Chelsea's major park, public tennis court.
