I'm a co-founder of the Collaborative Living Cooperative, a cooperatively owned house in Belfast, Maine. I believe living with people not related to me is fundamental to our wellbeing in these times (and all times, really). I'm committed to doing it and am lucky to have made dreams come true by starting a co-op house and filling it with amazing people.
The Neighborhood
We are a group of four adults and two kids (1.5 and 5 years old) living in a cooperatively-owned house on 4.5 acres just outside downtown Belfast. Being a Cooperative means that we are member owned and governed. We share things like a kitchen, governance, housekeeping, conflict mediation, gardening, regular connection, meetings and event hosting. Our core philosophy is that living more interdependently — through all of its joys and challenges — will help create the world we want to live in.
